Kanchenjunga Region is a popular trekking destination in Nepal. Mt Kanchenjunga is Nepal's second and world's third-highest mountain. it is situated in Taplejung district, far east northern parts of Nepal. The Kanchenjunga is the boundary of India and Tibet with Nepal. It is the Kanchenjunga conservation area. KCA is the only protected area of Nepal managed by local communities. This area covers more than 56 percent of the total area of the Taplejung district with 2035 square kilometers. How to get there:-
There are two ways:-
1, By Flight:-
Flight from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur then drive to Taplejung. Or a direct flight from Kathmandu to Suketar airport after that start walking/trekking.
2, By Bus:-
From Kathmandu to Ilam by Bus then the next day from Ilam to Taplejung by Bus/Jeep (2 days drive) Or From Kathmandu to Hile Basantapur by Bus then start walking/Trekking.
